“Movement zones, vistas and small terraces and balconies bring variety into this limited world of inescapable togetherness, while the individual rooms are places of retreat and at the same time windows to the outside. The spatial concept, refined down to the last detail, was the basis for the performance of a timber construction with a high degree of prefabrication and passive house values. In this nursing home, wood also fulfils another effect in the best possible way: warm wooden surfaces create atmosphere and quality of stay at all times of the day.”
